Depuis de nombreuses générations, les habitants du village et leurs voisins primates du Mont Gban (classé patrimoine mondial par l’UNESCO) vivent une cohabitation harmonieuse. Les villageois préservent le peu de forêt primaire qui permet aux chimpanzés de se nourrir et de vivre.
